Panch
Yeah it is. Still, with all these awesome intros out there (Dexter, True Blood) they'll probably have one way better. Edited September 29, 2010 by Panch
crimsonfire
I'm thrilled as fuck to find out that I won't have to watch crappy downloads of this nor wait a year to see it. FX (UK & Ireland version) will be screening it in early Novemberrrrr!
C_U_SPACECOWBOY
Damn, just found out that season one is only going to be SIX episodes... Edited October 21, 2010 by C_U_SPACECOWBOY

crimsonfire
Dude thats way better. Uk shows do that a lot. It stops the show getting drawn out and stale as some US shows can do. Itll deal nicely with the first arc then the next season can expand on it and so forth.
Keth
so, uh I just found a leaked episode one online..... not stopping me from watching it premiere night though, but link anyone?

crimsonfire
Saw a TV spot for it yesterday. My cousins were looking at me a bit strangely as I had a nerdgasm and then loudly proclaimed "Two towels!". Wasn't these ones but they're still awesome. La Lindsay
It was pretty good. I wish they wouldn't CGI the head shots but that's really my only complaint.
Iambaytor
Squibs are costly and time consuming and prone to misfiring, so it's understandable why headshots are more commonly Cg.
Reverend Jax
Downloaded it in case it gets pulled down. Seems legit, but I haven't watched it yet. So, indeed the copy I downloaded was legit. So here's... Jax's review of The Walking Dead Television Series Premiere Fans of the series should be pretty pleased. This is definitely an adaptation, not a translation. Dialogue and panels are not lifted straight from the book and filmed unchanged. Some stuff is cut, other stuff is added, and some stuff is changed. The main story beats are all there. The premiere episode, which is 90 minutes rather than a full hour, takes the story only about halfway into issue 2. This is good news for those that want to see this story take it's time. This might means the first season (only 6 episodes) would only take us through issue 6, when Downloaded it in case it gets pulled down. Seems legit, but I haven't watched it yet. The other most logical place to end the season would be issue 12, which end with the group Comic spoilers finding the prison. Seeing as no actors playing any member of the Greene family (Maggie, Hershel, etc) have been announced, but an actor for Tyrese (who was introduced in issue 7) has been, I'm not sure. They may more things around to introduce Tyrese earlier. Regardless, the pacing is very good. The production is excellent, the 16mm the show is shot on suits the look of the show, and there have already been a few moments that really got me lost in moment of the situation. Unfortunately, the best performance in the premiere episode is from Lennie James as Morgan, the black man whom, with his son, is the first living human Rick encounters after having walking up and leaving the Hospital. I say 'unfortunately' because he is not a recurring character. Of course, that's not to say anyone else's performance was lacking, but Morgan gave a damn fine performance the whole way through and just broke my heart in his final scene. We saw very little of Carl. Ever since reading the issues after 48, I've been concerned that the child actor they cast to play him wouldn't be up to the challenge of that role. Hopefully will show is he has any acting chops. And if he doesn't hopefully there's time for him to learn on set. This show is everything a fan could have wanted, and should appeal to a broad audience. This show is going to be a cultural phenomenon. People are going to hear about this show. I just really hope the idea of premiering it on Halloween doesn't hurt the launch too bad. Lycaon
Launching it on Halloween may actually help, as people go to parties where other people may be watching and/or taping this, thus exposing more people (heh).
