Mr. Hakujin
Well done, axels. Get that call in first on the VENOM movie being "sweet." Just know you are tied to that opinion for the duration of this board's existence--or Jax will burn.you.down. Jax is like the Hans Landa of posts. Reverend Jax
I will hunt him down if he claims he had known it was going to suck from the very beginning and had always said so. You don't have to admit you were wrong, just don't claim you were always right.
Mr. Hakujin
Yup, you go on 'bout ya bidness, Jax Landa. Saw the trailer for this in IMAX 3D tonight before Prometheus and it looked great. I think I'll try and see the film in IMAX instead of reg. 3D.
C_U_SPACECOWBOY
Mortal Kombat > Spider-man 3. ill give you armageddon, though. Axel - i wish theydve done some kinda makeup for Goblin in spidey 1, im assuming they tried & couldn't make it work though. gonna have to see his Lizard in action before making a call on just how fantastic he is, though. They did try and it was friggin' BRILLIANT. I coulda swore I posted this before, but oh well. Reverend Jax
I'm pretty sure I comment on this, but the issue is that that mask looks too good. I would sooner buy that as a real goblin than believe it is a mask that Norman Osburne casually puts on and takes off each night. That said, I think I'd rather they have gone with that mask than the Power Rangers mask from Spidey 1.

alive she cried
Yup. Yup. Last call! All aboard! I've been calling it from near enough day one. I actually like it, it looks a little more "real" than Raimi's, if that makes sense.
Mr. Hakujin
All the Spidey4 film footage released so far in one clip--25 minutes of the film edited in chronological order. I had to tap out around 20 minutes in when it got to the big showdown. It looks great though. I am definitely seeing this in IMAX 3D. <object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" id="null" width="550" height="253"><param name="movie" value="http://www.movieweb.com/v/VIvVjtxBC3dfyC"'>http://www.movieweb.com/v/VIvVjtxBC3dfyC" /><param value="always" name="allowscriptaccess" /><param value="true" name="allowfullscreen" /><embed src="http://www.movieweb.com/v/VIvVjtxBC3dfyC" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="550" height="253" allowfullscreen="true" allowscriptaccess="always"></embed></object>
Reverend Jax
I'm so glad I'm not that excited to see this. It makes not clicking to watch that surely spoilerific compilation so easy. With 16 reviews, the movies at 81% on Rotten Tomatoes. Looks like it should be at least fun, if not fun and good on other levels.
Ganny McVagflaps
Note how many of them refer to it as Spider-Man for the Twilight generation (well, three I read last week did, I know The Guardian for sure, not assfagged to do find out the others) and in a positive manner no less. Guarantee this is gonna be a fantastic movie if you've never read a Spidey book.

Ganny McVagflaps
Is anyone going to bother seeing this tonight? I could stroll five minutes up the street and go see it but I just don't care enough. I don't even know if I feel the need to see it in the theater.
Thelogan
I still just don't think it looks like a very good movie. Critics and Hondonians will probably tell me how wrong I am, and Im sure it's fun and all, but I remainnever unconvinced. I bet it's real pretty to look at though. Keth
Just came back from this and it was great! Say what you will about Raimi getting screwed, and how unnecessary this may be, but this was a damn good Spider-Man movie. Also came with the best Stan Lee cameo yet. Also, here's the next possible Norman Osborne. Michael Massee was credited as Man in Shadows during a mid credits clip. Reverend Jax
Watched it this afternoon. It was a solid Spidey-flick. Not without it's flaws, but on par with the first two Spidey-flicks. Of course it was pretty annoying having to sit through the origin story again, but it was a good retelling. Sony will certainly make a sequel with the same cast (minus the characters that died), and I think that with the origin behind them, they could tell put together another solid Spidey-flick or two. The good news is you don't have to go see it. It's not gonna blow your mind like Star Wars or The Matrix the first time you watched them, so you'll probably be happier not seeing it and convinced you dodged a bullet by skipping out on it.
