Donatella
10 hours ago, Bindusara said: "If Stranger Things copied Ghostbusters, and Ghostbusters is copying Stranger Things, then Ghostbusters is just being Ghostbusters." Has anyone ever said Stranger Things copied Ghostbusters? One is about kids in the Midwest battling huge monsters and one is older men in a big city fighting ghosts. Is this because they dressed like them in one episode for a nostalgia thing? I don’t get this at all.
Iambaytor
Yeah, Stranger Things is biting off of IT, E.T., maybe The Monster Squad and The Goonies. I don't see any Ghostbusters influence at all beyond the fact that they dressed like them in season 2.
The NZA
anyone else catch this one yet? leans way, way more on the original than the 2016 one, but that's one of my all-time favorites so i had a blast. like, i get that it works as a stand-alone but i'm not sure its nearly as enjoyable on its own? but yeah, really dug it
Visitant
Loved it. I laughed, I cried into my ecto cooler spiked with vodka.
