Reverend Jax
My cousin brought up a good point. Is anyone else bothered that Ben Affleck doesn't have red hair in the trailer (which obviously mens he doesn't have red hair in the movie)? She said "I'm fine with a black Kingpin, but teh Davedevil has to have red hair!". Any thoughts?
The NZA
She's stressin the details like a wank & should wait till the movie comes out to judge it. Affleck may pull it off yet.
Reverend Jax
She says that first of all, the red hair is a big part of his Irish look. Second of all, she says there are so few actors in movie with red hair that they shouldn't not have red hair on a character that already has it in the source material. She already gave the trailer two big thumbs up, but she said that bothered her.
The NZA
So, wait, she'd want Carrot Top based on the red hair factor?  Afflceck's lookin the part, i dont think its much more than a detail, but then im one of the few folks who isnt up in arms bout the new black Captain America mini-seires. More media! Courtesy of Comic book resources.com  Michael Clarke Duncan as Kingpin  Film design sketches Rooftop scene  Church, a la Kevin Smith's story...?  Murdock's apartment  ...on a side note, Ferrigno's lookin to be an extra in the Hulk movie, woo hah! Shaping up, the both of these films.
Reverend Jax
No but she says they could have easily dyed it red. She thinks redheaded men are hot and that there's not nearly enough redheaded men in film today. So why, if the character has red hair, should they not dye Affleck's hair? The NZA
Argh..how bout 'cause its a detail, its not needed, might look dumb on Affleck, he looks fine for the part without it, etc? I really dont think they should cater the flick to your cousin's unique tastes. Â Again, Wolvy wears gold & blue in the comic, and easily could've in the flick but im glad they didnt. KOS, MLB (when youre back), Bob - check out that church scene, someone outta find out if that's the one from the Kevin Smith run, sure looks like it. Reverend Jax
If Triumph is a real new member and not a troll, I hope this Triumph-like dialouge is short lived.
Silent Bob
It does look kinda like the church in Kev's run, but since Karen Page is only getting a small part, Elektra has a large part, and I have yet to hear of them casting Murdock's mother, I don't think the movie is going to have anything based on that storyline. Reverend Jax
Any word on when an X2 trailer will see the light of day?
Silent Bob
Not a clue. They just started shooting on the 17th, so I'm sure they'll be coming up with a teaser, soon. If not, there'll undoubtably be one with Daredevil, in February.
Reverend Jax
Isn't X2 slated for summer 2003? They'll never make that if they've just started shooting now. How about a Two Towers teaser?
Silent Bob
The Two Towers teaser just came out. http://www.apple.com/trailers/newline/the_two_towers/ And X2 will be able to make it. Daredevil only started filming a month or two ago, in fact, they're still filming, now. But they're scheduled for a February 14th release, and they'll make it. X2 doesn't come out until May, next year, so they'll have almost a year. It's the pre-production work that takes the most time, these days. Usually, by the time shooting starts, a film can be completed in less than a year.
Reverend Jax
Makes me wish I had my own computer so I could watch it with sound. What movie is it attached to?
Silent Bob
I've no idea... You might have to wait for GoldMember to come out, before you can see it on the big screen. It'll probably be attached to that one, since they're both New Line releases.
Silent Bob
Ok, I was wrong, it played in front of MIB2. 'Dja see it?
The NZA
Argh! i want more comic talk in the comics forum! Off to movies you go! Â PS Lets hear more on the Hulk movie too.
Silent Bob
Hulk movie - nuthin' new, 'cept that Nick Nolte plays Brian Banner. Kooky.
The NZA
? Seriously? Whered you hear that? Aint he a bit old for the role...?
Silent Bob
I dunno. To tell you the truth, it's been so long since I read a Hulk comic, I don't even remember who Brian Banner is.
The NZA
Oh, Brian. Thought you said "Bruce", that's what was odd. Ive been readin Hulk the last year or so - its never been as good, check it out at Marvel.com for free - but i dont remember any Brian...maybe a sibling or father?
Silent Bob
Yeah...I'm guessing father, since it's Nick Nolte. Eric Bana is playing Bruce. If you don't know his name (god knows I didn't) he was the particularly kick-ass working-alone oakley-sunglasses-wearing soldier in Black Hawk Down. Reverend Jax
Ok, I was wrong, it played in front of MIB2. 'Dja see it? I say MIB2 and I walked in before the trailers started, but I didn't see the LOTR trailer! Damnit! They have to standardize these things already. First Bob misses the Treasure Planet trailer on Lilo & Stitch now I miss the Two Towers trailer on MIB2! GRRRRRRRR! Hulk MAD! Â PS We totally need a 'Bruce Banner to Hulk' emoticon. It's definitely a specific emotion that I need to express regularly. Get the scientists working on the emoticon technology!
Silent Bob
Could go for one of those, myself...
Reverend Jax
Well then, that settles it. Nick, get us a BB>Hulk emoticon, chop chop!
