  1. What's that, lil Nancy? Scraped your knee? Relax, itll be ok...
  2. Finally, the anime section now has a defense against this kind of retardation: Kodamas. :kodama: :kodama: :kodama: :kodama: :kodama: :kodama:
  3. They say the first few days are the hardest... :ill:
  4. Just wanted signatures, and i get piggies & X-box...*sobs* Fine! Whatever it takes to get this fine game pushed through, here, here's a damn piggy, you strange bastrad! One minute theyre evil, then theyre lost, now they rule.. :plain: ..now vote, damn ye! Please?
  5. To clarify: any animation can fall under this catergory, except im puttin comic book animations under comics of course. The topic was started by my absent cousin under general, and i moved it here later. :kodama: :blossom: :bubbles:
  6. Heh....finally got to use it.
  7. Uh...disregard artistic's recent rants in here, he's uh...he's an alcholic, so bear with him. :D
  8. Wow...thanks again, guess ill havta carry that crossbow for certain puzzles then. My chanis are primarily at this point, to hit, then poison, then hit again for 70% or so, then lightly hit & absorb HP....sadly i made most of my new chain abilities defensive, need to see what the better offensive ones are. What else should i work on? I gots a bunch of somewhat useless defensive ones to block 50% of all elementals, i somehow thought that'd be handier than it is. Ah well....what should i pump the chains into, more offensive? What can you do at your ridiculous level?
  9. Yeah....lookin over it, far less than half. Some independents, (Milk and Cheese, Nimrod, Sin City, an issue or two of Stray Bullets, etc) and the usual Vertigo - Preacher, Sandman, Transmetropolitan, and the like. Wasnt big on Tom Strong, guess i shoulda read some more of it...curious bout I die at Midnight since it took so many awards...how are Promethea and Barry Ween? Again, ill get back on my picks later, but truth is theyre very limited...in most catergories, ive only read bout half the entries so im not sure how fair it'd be.
  10. Well folks, the 2001 Eisner awards are out - for those that dont know, its bout the most prestigous award one can win in comics; others include the Wizard fan award, which is basically the movie equivalent of an MTV award, aka a paperweight, tho still better than a grammy. The awards are named after comic legend Will Eisner, writer of The Spirit, as well as short books like A Contract with God and Last Day in Vietnam; trust me, from what ive managed to read, he's a legend for a reason. Anyway, here they are: ill discuess later what i agree/disagree with, god knows i only managed to read half this shit anyway (lotta independents here, ask Junker just how many indie films he can see in one year). Also, i included the nominees. PS Junker - Whaddya think of that one group, "Talent deserving of wider recogntion"? Strikes me as one the Oscars could use. +Best Humor Publication -Bart Simpson's Treehouse of Horror by Jill Thompson/Oscar González Loyo/Steve Steere Jr., Scott Shaw!/Sergio Aragonés, and Doug TenNapel (Bongo) - WINNER · -Dork by Evan Dorkin (Slave Labor) · -Hey, Mister by Pete Sickman-Garner (Top Shelf) · -Land of Nod Rockabye Book by Jay Stephens (Dark Horse) -Tomorrow Stories, by Alan Moore, Rick Veitch, Kevin Nowlan, Melinda Gebbie, and Jim Baikie (ABC) +Best Anthology · -Tomorrow Stories, by Alan Moore, Rick Veitch, Kevin Nowlan, Melinda Gebbie, and Jim Baikie (ABC) - WINNER · -Blab, edited by Monte Beauchamp (Fantagraphics) -Brainbomb, edited by Brian Clopper (Behemoth Books) · -Comix 2000, edited by Jean-Christophe Menu (L'Association) -Dignifying Science, written/edited by Jim Ottaviani (G.T. 11. Recently, Marvel relaunched (amongst many other greats ive been hypin here) its Cable series. Since the X-Man from the future with a somewhat confusin storyline finally accomplished his goal & vanquished Apocalypse, he hasnt had a whole helluva lot to do, and while the old writers saw this as a bad thing, apparently the current team (David Tischman writing, art by Igor Kordey, yes i had to look em up, and i also know the writer as of next month or so is Darko Macan, and he won an Eisner so he cant be too bad) decided to take the character and evolve him a bit. Nowadays, its apparently a lot more political, with war vet Cable fightin "the good fight" when he sees it, throughout South America & many other 3rd world countries. I'm told its a great book, but havent seen/heard much else bout it....any one else here know? Either way, im gonna try to pick up the current run & see how it is. Cable's new look, a la Calvin Klein.
  12. A new weapon to combat Stan Lee's current series of shit, Lucass was fallin behind:
  13. For those that don't know, EarthBound was a little known NES rpg that barely made it to the states; however, the sequel, again EarthBound, was one of the SNES's most innovative rpg's. The character didnt make gold by slaughtering slimes and such, but rather, beatin up pinko hippies in the middle of the road enocuraged your father to leave more $ in your ATM, etc. It was a fun, great game, and there hasnt been one like it since. Now, Mother 3 (as the series is called in Japan) was to be for the N64 Disc Drive, which we all know failed terribly before actually makin it to the market, so the game went with it. However, there have been rumors that the series creators, HAL (responsible for the fine Super Smash Bros series) - a 2nd party company, meanin theyre funded by Nintendo directly - have considered upgradin the game for the current Nintendo GameCube, and subsequently a massive online petition has been initiated. Now, before writin off these here petitions, it should be known, other such petitions ive taken part in have worked: one of em got the controversial masterpiece Xenogears brought over here when it wasnt gonna be, and now there's a whole series of it onna way, the second of which ensured special editions of Zelda 64 returned to the classic gold cartridge format. So, they do indeed work, and theyre very quick - sigh your name & email (you wont get spammed dont worry) and a comment if ya like, and youre done, and your support really helps. EarthBound 3 petition - only takes a minute, please help if ya get a chance.
  14. Everyone calls em ponces for thinkin theyre as big as the Beatles...i say there's bigger egos, but yeah that is kinda crazy. Regardless....like most, i played certain songs to death..."Wonderwall", "Dont look back in anger", "Champagne Supernova" etc, so i cant deny likin em. My favorite song by them still has to be "D'yer Wanna be a Spaceman", didnt hear that one till i saw this great anime music video collage, put to "Macross Plus", an excellent series. Great fuckin song.
  15. Oh cmon, Li's clearly the more popular vote these days....he's all over the damn place these days, almost made it to Matrix 2 but opted for "The One" instead. But in one of his early American film appearences, who beat his ass? Who?? (granted, only in the end) Fuck, the man cant seem to lose! Now, Chan, there wouldve been a fight...
  16. Yes...yes. aaaaanything. :emotions: *unizips* So uh hey artistic, howzabout that fight, eh? "It's all fun & games till someone drops a load in your eye. Trust me." - bacchus PS Artistic - youve been had. :link: Good one Benny. :irish: :ssj:
  17. Here's somethin for that sand in your vagina.
  18. Why...why must there be tension that pictures of cats fighting cant clear up... :snail: the man's a fuckin ninja...were you not the one who pointed out the perverse "ninja way"? I offered him a way outta the house of representatives, he was just cheap. But i will not grant votin rights to a man who purposely picks fights with other men in hopes of anally raping them. I won't! You take it too far, man...you just cant say things like "Constantine sucks", "Yes next question", "hey nicky boy how ya doin" or "i disagree with your views on god" and not expect people to crap in your bed or kill your mother or somethin rational like that. These people's posts, its their life, you sick bastard! You mess with their life, and theyre goin to shot you baby BAM! dead. Yes sir justice. ...WOULD IT FUCING KILL YOU, JUST THIS ONCE? WOULD IT? :plain:  :emotions:
  19. I thought he was close enough to the comic one....handled some scenes rather well (like the last chess scene, the showdown with the cops, etc) artistic says the same thing tho. So, who'd you two prefer for the role? Harrisson Ford?
  20. Athena - hope ya dont mind, just edited your post to get a workin copy of that puzzle of yours back up, 2nd link is dead right now....Spiffytee requested we put this back up for the new folks to try their hand at, sounded good to me.
  21. ...fuck man, you didnt even give her a name! Youre not even tryin. Idve at least given her a chick's name, not "Satcha"...what is that, a dog? I know youre more creative than this, my friend.
  22. ...ha, now im represented by :irish: + , too funny. Benny - Said it before, say it again: Andrea's a pretty Irish lass, youre a lucky man. artistic - shame on you. I'dve bought the whole "logging off, then loggin off as this Satcha thing", but ya had to go puttin in there and say youre not ugly...cmon man, we all know its you. "Satcha, she's my baby, been goin out forever now...she loves tennis, Gladiator, Final Fantasy..." enough with the lies, man!
  23. Well, yeah, he is a brainless lug, but they finally stopped writing Banner like he's one too. Give it a go, KOS, think ya might like it. Junker - you read up to # 37 online, right? I just got # 38 from anime hurricane, lemme know when/if ya wanna see it....twas the "shit hits the fan" issue.
  24. damn, KOS mentions Rorscarch, and i have to look over the book again....cant say enough good things bout it. Judge, you wont be dissapointed. Random clip...
  25. Heh...he originally answered "yes" to dick with me, knowin im a huge fan of Ennis, then answered "yes" again right there at the end, but the electoral college (ie: me) decided to make an educated vote for him, so it was...uh...altered. Anyway, again, Ennis' mediocre stuff is still way ahead of many writers, but while ill be happy as hell when he makes Punisher readable again, Pilgrim is fun but doenst get me goin like Preacher, Hitman or War Story, ya know? I wish he had somethin more on the horizon, like maybe another regular series again one day....but again, i hope to god he proves me wrong.
