  1. "Vegetable guy"? Hey yo, oughta listen to Artistic there, one minute its "N...W...O!!!", the next its "Snap into a Slim Jim!!". The NWO are still around...? Even old school Wolvy beats that ass.
  2. Back to a previous one... Courtesy of Mulan :kitty: 1)Lopez was in "U-Turn" with Billy Bob Thorton. 2)Billy Bob was in "Pushing Tin" with John Cusak. 3)Cusak was in "American Sweethearts" with Zeta-Jones. bonus points: Also co-starred in "High Fidelity". Ha...hey Jumbie, do you like apples?
  3. Uh...heh heh.. what the hell are you talkin bout? Listen buddy, i really dont appreciate your stuffin the ballot box here, ok? Fuck off, this is an honest poll! Sorry bout that Jumbie, lets just not count his vote, the rest oughta be legit. *phew*, that coulda been messy. *tosses sandwhich under bridge* (did i not say to stay quiet? am i not merciful!? )
  4. Jumbie - How many fights youve been in again? Not the "abuse myself in a public bathroom" kind. Wasnt try to disspaoint/impress anyone, just think most people see martial artists as all powerful ninjas. Got my info from various sources, id cite it if i remebered every damn thing ive ever read. Hey, Segal's a dick and a half, but the man claims to have invented a martial art - i never said that meant shit to me (did anyone else notice that drunken womabat style i mentioned earlier? I stopped takin this shit really seriously a while back). All i have for this fight is: 1)90%+ of this board is martial art fans over boxing. I decided to stand up for my sport. 2)Lee'd most likely win, but we cant very well see the fight take place, can we? Just wanted to give my boy a some credit. Artistic's right; crackin jokes & talkin shit in Fight Club is no fuckin fun, everyone thinks youre serious. Yeah, i said it, Ali killed the T-1000 & saved the president, my sources are www.itsafuckinjoke.com. And as far as Braveheart/Gladiator nonsense...i cant be blamed for what the actions of the House of Representatives But you are free to creat..er, enlist your own representatives and ask him to "vote" your way; this is still a democracy ya know.
  5. Were they the ones who put out Shrek? And arent the Pixar guys former Disney artists? I forget how it goes.
  6. Yeah, im pretty sure its 6, too - the idea (from what Jumbie sent me back in the day) is that no one is supposed to be more than 6 degrees apart. Always wondered bout that...i once read a figure in genetics that no human being is more than a 44th cousin of any given other. Meant to put that as a topic in the Lyceum; cant help but wonder: if that's true, would it change anythin for most people? Anyway, yeah its 6 as i recall, but to clarify somethin with Mulan, it dont gotta be 6 exactly: if you can do it in less, thats even better.
  7. Havent tried it out yet, but i think its worth mentioning. Red Octane: Rent games online Unless they changed their deal recently, theyre basically a Netflix for video games - rent PS2, Gamecube, Dreamcast & X-box games online, they mail them to ya, you send em back whenever youre finished. They even pay the postage, as i recall. The upside is not havin late fees so you can actually finish the game, not to mention they carry imports as well (!). The downside...i forget how much they charge a month, its nothin ridiculous, but i recall their inventory was a lil low, you could wait a while on the game ya want - hopefully theyve improved that. If anyone's interested, lemme know & ill look into it. :D :kirby: :wario:
  8. Everyone gets these funny advice ones in the mail, just came across one that struck me as actually funny. Comical words of wisdom... The easiest way to find something lost around the house is to buy a replacement. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway. One good turn gets most of the blankets. Sex is like air; it's not important unless you aren't getting any. There are two kinds of pedestrians--the quick and the dead. An unbreakable toy is useful for breaking other toys. If quitters never win, and winners never cheat, then who is the fool who said "Quit while you're ahead"? A closed mouth gathers no feet. Second marriage is the triumph of hope over experience. Before marriage, a man yearns for the woman he loves. After marriage, the 'Y' becomes silent. If you want your spouse to listen and pay strict attention to every word you say, talk in your sleep.
  9. Anyone remember this one? Me & Junker talked about it; i remember it used to come on MTV before "The Head", another fun cartoon. Thing is, The Maxx is a comic great series by Sam Keith, and this still stands as one of the best comic-to-animation translations ive ever seen (tho i really liked the Legends of Batman episode with about a minute of "Dark Knight Returns", that was badass). Anyway, this series seems very hard to come by....Amazon.com says its only on video and heavily edited down for time. Just wanted to know if anyone's seen it on Kaza or has it backed up somewhere, etc... Can you tell which one is from the Image comic & which is animated?
  10. Grrr, i get spurrned by parts of both families. Its...interestin. Sure, i identify with the Irish side that stayed here & attempted to raise me, but either way...there's nationalism, then there's bullshit, and i admit its a fine line. Nevermind that both sides can share celtic bloodlines & such. Either way, i like to think... + = ...anyway, the joke's funny as hell.
  11. Cool, looks like another deity wants to join in; this could be our biggest online RPG since diablo 1 (or maybe 2, never got in on it yet anyway). If we can all get copies/run them/have workin reg codes, this'd be a helluva team - a real comic book hero team and/or a team of our variously-made characters (this does not necessarily mean we are "Drunken Deities" tho, does it? :plain: ) And hey there bad advice man, whatre you gonna do? "Hey there son, i notice youre level one, so here's some advice: see that fire spreadin across the building? notice how its bright like that? That's 'cause it heals you".
  12. I...cant..stop...watchin...trailer.... This is why i hate PC games. Am i gonna havta upgrade? Searched the FAQ for a system requirements to no avail... also, showed it to Artistic & Satcha, i think he's pretty sold on it too. Between Cowboy, Wolverine and others i see myself actually makin a number of different accounts, if thats possible too. Did anyone else notice they hint at an expansion that allows play as supervillians? The website's great, havent joined their forum but Chiefy has, says members get a shot at the beta this spring (!), so let us know what happens there. I know Chief mentioned this earlier, but shit - you can actually build & maintain a superhero base/fortress! Thats badass. Im dyin to hear the details on that - real estate charges, what can be done with the base as far as logos/defense/etc... If this game is half of what its promisin, im gonna be less social this summer
  13. Alright, Stewie, ill stay away from Luc-ass for the time bein, but Stan the man i gotta say somethin. I often credit the writer with the creation of a character too. But in this case, well lets take Spider-Man. Supposedly, Stan wakes up one nite round 3am, calls & wakes up Steve Ditko & says "Ive got it! A man with spider powers! A spider-man!". Next day, Steve designs Spidey's costume, powers, entire style, and much of his origin. Stan handles the leftovers ("make him a wrestler!") & names him Peter Parker. So, did Stan create Spider-Man, or Steve, if it comes down to it? Same way with legendary Jack Kirby, with the x-men, fantastic four, avangers, captain america...most of the marvel universe. But when Kirby was dying & simply wanted his original art to go to his family and Marvel said "no" - they were huge dicks back in the day, hence why the lost Frank Miller, and alla those guys left to make Image - well, lets just say that Stan the man, despite his former "best friend"'s pleas, decided to shut up for the first time in his life, and did nothing. Of course, after Kirby's death, Stan took credit for (his words here) "Whatever wasnt nailed down". Even today, if you came up with an entirely new guy for Marvel, your book would start "Stan Lee presents"...do you see DC doin that shit with Bob Kane, Jerry Seigel etc? And Stan's recent batch of re-telling the DC legend's origins just goes to show that his "creativity" apparently died alongside Kirby. I know im bein rough here, but while Stan was a great writer back in the day, he's not the living legend Marvel lets him pimp himself out as, hence why StanLee.net and its hundreds of new characters went bankrupt after only a few months. I only jump on Lee's ass because he seems to take all the credit for Kirby's massive contributions with a smile.
  14. 1)TD's got a point, hope it dont lock folks out. JunkerSeed mentioned it might be solved with Diablo-type password protected fights, so one could just jump back in or invite others durin a break...? Whaddya think TD, youre the man with online gaming. 2)Keep those class details pumping, that last list Chiefy put out just gave me a stiffy. This shit is soundin badass: i might just have to buy it retail & jump in with everyone else. Any word on monthly fees? Dont wanna end up like TD, headin out west & shackin up with some crazy dragon-lady *smacks forehead as it occurs to him he's halfway there* Real quick thing: how many of you are thinkin of creatin your own original guy, and on the side, bein the 5,248th Iron Whore/Wolverine/Batman etc? Be honest...
  15. Interestin, tho Jumbie's obvious choice would be that closest to his heart. But arent the heroes/plots of a different formula? Epics, of which your space opera there falls under, are often considered "journey movies" - Kevin Smith recently summed up Lord of the Rings as 3 hours of "walking around". Also, its been said many times: your boy Luke follows Joeseph Campbell's hero formula to a tee: early/cocky failure before teaching finishes, betrayl, triumph, return home etc. The western and gangster films...many favorites are of the anti-hero, cant say i can think of many current popular sci-fi flicks along these lines. Also, while i respect both fields, your sci-fi/epics are far grander; even the best of westerns - The Searchers, The Good, The Bad & The Ugly, Rio Bravo - are based on base human emotions: revenge, greed, and justice, respectively. Gangster films, likewise on power & greed. I dunno, i like your idea, but lets hear some examples that make the transition smoother.
  16. Irishman = me, in some descendancy anyway, reallly more American than anythin. And im not sure how i go with ice cream, to be honest... ...youre an odd little fellow.
  17. Give it a try, see how ya do. Could you be an Olympic Contender?
  18. Yes sir, he gets my vote. Gentelmen, welcome to Fight Club, home of the underdogs. :optimus: :afro: "Now remember Optimus, you go down in the 3rd. This fight will be fantabulous."
  19. Hahaha! I get it! Hey, fuck you and your stereotypical jokes. But even tho i think youre a racist old kraut, i still appreciate your efforts....
  20. Er...i guess that 'n makes sense too.... i was told it was the whole, ya know i explained it before & it seemed to bother def so ill leave it be, no more talkin bout Yodelin' in the valley for me. :wary:
  21. could i get a pic/description on this Mr Satan Hercules guy?
  22. No, no Eyeore, i aint truly offended, and this is a forum of freedom, no one will change their words for me (only in the Lyceum...). Its just semantics that confuses me; feel free to ask as many guys as ya please to give you head, but be forewarned: they might be like me and subsequently think you have a thingy down there. I dont make a big deal of her, but if i was a chick, id prolly cling to Joan Jett too, she's pretty cool. Cranberry chick too. :D Personally, i too think it sucks pretty hard that bitch-ass Brittttney (Def has a point, i too shall mispell her name) covered that song; i felt similar when Puff Daddy covered Sting & The Police. Spears oughta keep singin bout how sometimes boys make her cry & shit, the posing aint workin. Shes about as much a woman as Jeniffer Lopez is an actual Latin chick. damn this caucozoid whore!
  23. Nice comeback, Shirley. And my boy's still up top of dem polls, last i checked. Fair an square...
  24. Mulan tells me that's called "curling" (she watches the olympics, sadly). Not curling like the workout, but rather an excercise in homosexuality, apparently. Hey, you know what made that shit look straight? Did you watch the openin ceremony with some fuck skating around between icicle homos lookin for his inner flamer? That shit...my god, that shit made Richard Simmons say "...fag."
