Again, id agree the superhero genre dominates the comic book medium, and that's an odd and not so great thing. Drama & other such genres are a niche market, where they shouldnt be. I also think it interestin how Ellis points out that Manga (Japanese comics) dont run into this problem, neither do many Euros, just us Americans. But yeah MLB, Punisher is Ennis & Dillon again, light-hearted, violent, fun stuff...definitely worth checkin out.

Man, the hacks im findin for the new board are pretty cool if they work, we'll see...lotta trial & error comin up folks, havta bear with us when we get there. Just in case the old graphic doesnt update, here's where we stand right now: Woo hoo! Doin good people, almost halfway there, and the donations im told are on the way should leave us damn close to completion (Jumbie, ill spot for you, just send it when ya can). Further donations will of course go to the followin 6 months server fees in hopes of not havin to grovel/whore out again like this, but seriously, good job people, youre a great fuckin crowd.

Youre right, this forum doesnt see too much action without the Omega chicks, im hopin including all animation types'll help that. As for me, ive got much to watch between Lodoss War, Berserk, El Hazard, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, and Yahven's Rouronin Kenshin, but from what ive seen, my favorite fights and overall anime has been... favorite series is still most likely Vision of Escaflowne; saw half of Fusigi-Yugi & didnt think it stacked up. My main interests i guess are either in that Lodoss War/Final Fantasy type epic series or somethin to do with ninjas/samurai, hence why Ninja Scroll's my favorite & i need to see more Kenshin. :wasabi:

Ok, some updates: donations received from many, especially the high post # folks, and theyre all much appreciated...ill put the bar up here when the graphic's updated. Meantime...just in case you folks wanted a sneek preview of what the forum's capable of (mind you, theirs is huge & uncostumized, just showin for the options/incredible speed it runs at), check out their main page, Invisionboard. Very much like our board; same programmer created both, only theirs is faster & better customer service. Im researchin it now to ensure our posts, post #, general customization etc transfer over, but Yahven assures me were gonna try to back this thing up on the big day just in case, so fear not. The board'll prolly be shut down for a day or so, but ill do my damndest to make sure everything transfers right over & some of the new customizations get tried out. I figure the option to "skin" each forum (use a background for each; ie, go in the movie section and there's a picture of De Niro in the background...cool huh?) will be up to us & the forum moderators for suggestions, but i think the new speed & options will only make this place that much better. Im also researching hacks for it for even more options, some surprises onna way if i can pull em off (well, me & our techie sir Yahven, god knows i cant code shit). I put animation in here, American, Japanese or otherwise. Ive been tempted to toss Simpsons in here, but it feels more like a TV show (prime-time, well known etc) so i kept it in Movies & TV. Now that you mention it tho, ill prolly move it here. I'm gonna change the name of this forum soon so folks know its Animation i want here, not just anime. Dont get me wrong, im no fan of tossin shit around into innapropriate places just for bigger #'s.

I forget, but i think the aliens showed up on a regular episode in earlier seasons, but yeah theyre mostly Halloween folk. Cant say ive seen em all; ive seen most of the Simpsons but i still get surprised from time to time. For instance, in a WB ad for the show once, i saw a clip of a cameo by Clint Eastwood (a la "Fistfull of Dollars" pancho & everythin), never seen that episode tho. Alright, 2 things on this thread: 1) for those keepin score, the prices of the systems has dropped. Here in the states (in most parts, if it hasnt happened already) X-Box & PS2 are bout $200, while Gamecube is $150. All good deals, tho if youre only gettin one of em, PS2 is still the best for your money out there. 2) Does anyone have/have accesss to a really good printer? I want a printout of that Resident Evil remake cover to use for the game (that fits on the DVD box); Mulan ( :kitty: ) did one for me recently but i cant seem to find it, argh...was really nice of her too. ???

Hmm...aside from the final speech, id say it was Al's great portrayl of a blind man. I read somewhere that he spent months in a home for the blind to learn/practice, and in many scenes, i think it pays off - "Im in the dark here!" - etc. Just a good story with one of Pacino's best performances, id say. He's got the flawed protagonist down to a tee.
